Responsibilities
- Design scalable, upgrade-safe ServiceNow solutions aligned with enterprise frameworks and platform best practices.
- Develop reusable and maintainable ServiceNow components using JavaScript and Angular/AngularJS patterns.
- Create automated tests, perform manual validation, and support reliable iterative releases.
- Integrate ServiceNow with upstream and downstream systems using APIs, events, and scalable data patterns.
- Troubleshoot complex issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement durable fixes.
- Contribute to operational readiness through runbooks, monitoring considerations, release checklists, and production support.
- Use authorized AI-assisted development tools while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Partner with product, business analysis, and engineering stakeholders on requirements, scope, estimates, and delivery plans.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and practical feedback while strengthening team workflows.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience implementing solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
- Strong JavaScript proficiency and practical Angular/AngularJS experience for ServiceNow UI development.
- Ability to design and build self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components.
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow scripting, configuration and customization decisions, and upgrade considerations.
- Experience across planning, building, testing, releasing, and operating software in an agile environment.
- Understanding of application, data, and infrastructure architecture and cross-system design patterns.
- Experience building or supporting REST/SOAP integrations, including authentication and error handling.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools and validating their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resilience, and security expectations.
- Preferred: ServiceNow CSA, CAD, CIS–ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, SecOps, or Performance Analytics certifications.
- Preferred: experience with large-scale integrations, webhooks, event-driven patterns, automated testing, observability, performance tuning, production readiness, cloud platforms, modern infrastructure, or regulated environments.
