Base Salary
$69k - $158k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, test, and maintain software capabilities from requirements through production delivery.
- Build backend services, RESTful APIs, data integrations, and user-facing capabilities.
- Participate in technical design discussions, troubleshoot application issues, conduct code reviews, and improve software quality and maintainability.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, product owners, and mission stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable software solutions.
- Evaluate technical approaches, learn new tools and technologies, and improve development and delivery practices.
- Complete the required skills assessment and meet the minimum proficiency threshold to continue in the hiring process.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering, including developing, testing, integrating, or maintaining software applications.
- 3+ years of experience developing applications with an object-oriented programming language.
- 2+ years of experience developing web applications using frontend technologies or frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Experience developing or integrating backend services and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and SQL.
- Experience working in Agile software development environments using Scrum or Kanban.
- Experience using software development and task management tools such as Jira.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph and eligibility for access to classified information.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology, or 8+ years of software engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
- Preferred qualifications include production Python development, enterprise web application development, microservices, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, AWS cloud-native or serverless development, CloudFormation, GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Kubernetes, automated testing, authentication, authorization, logging, monitoring, observability, and DevSecOps experience.
