Responsibilities
- Lead technical development of Odoo modules across Sales, Inventory, Purchasing, Accounting, Manufacturing, HR, and other domains.
- Architect scalable custom workflows, business logic, module enhancements, models, views, wizards, access controls, and automation scripts.
- Develop integrations with third-party systems, custom APIs, and data synchronization pipelines.
- Collaborate with functional consultants, product owners, and cross-functional teams on requirements, solution design, feasibility, estimates, and implementation recommendations.
- Conduct code reviews, develop unit tests, support UAT, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide Tier-3 support.
- Create technical documentation including module specifications, API references, and architecture diagrams.
- Support Odoo upgrades and migration projects, including data migration, module updates, and conflict resolution.
- Identify automation, performance optimization, and refactoring opportunities.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to development guidelines, version control standards, CI/CD improvements, architecture decisions, and long-term roadmap planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of experience developing Odoo, including module customization, Python development, and ORM work.
- Deep knowledge of the Odoo framework, including models, views, QWeb, controllers, and workflows.
- Strong Python skills and understanding of modular development.
- Experience integrating Odoo with external systems using APIs, webhooks, or middleware.
- Strong PostgreSQL knowledge, including schema design and query optimization.
- Familiarity with Linux environments, Git, and deployment workflows.
- Ability to convert complex business logic into clean, scalable code and troubleshoot complex system issues.
- Preferred: experience with large-scale Odoo implementations, multi-company environments, Odoo Enterprise, Odoo.sh, DevOps pipelines, Docker, CI/CD, AWS or GCP, UI/UX customization, Owl, modern front-end tools, or mobility, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations-heavy industries.
