Responsibilities
- Define and lead technical strategy for enterprise-scale cloud platforms, including infrastructure-as-code modularisation.
- Design and build secure, production-ready platform and infrastructure foundations.
- Automate complex cloud platforms using Terraform.
- Package services into AMIs, Docker, or serverless technologies.
- Work directly with customers to deliver end-to-end cloud transformations.
- Apply site reliability practices and help develop mature security models.
- Mentor engineers and raise technical standards across cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of platform and infrastructure engineering, including multi-account, multi-tenant, or landing-zone patterns.
- Strong hands-on Terraform and automation skills, with experience structuring and modularising infrastructure as code.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and mentoring engineers.
- Strong hands-on cloud knowledge and sound judgment in selecting appropriate cloud services; deep AWS expertise is highly beneficial.
- Experience operating cloud platforms at scale, ideally in regulated environments.
- Understanding of secure, scalable, and resilient architecture, including preventing, detecting, and remediating security risks.
- Awareness of SRE principles and operational priorities, experience with CI/CD pipelines, and strong system design skills.
- Strong networking, data, and identity knowledge.
- Eligibility to pass SC clearance checks; willingness and ability to pass DV clearance is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to travel onsite to London when required, potentially up to three days per week.
