Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance application systems and programs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Analyze code and applications to identify enhancements, vulnerabilities, and security issues.
- Design programming solutions, conduct testing and debugging, and install and support application systems.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups to resolve issues and recommend solutions.
- Identify problems, evaluate information, and implement solutions with limited direct supervision.
- Advise or coach new and lower-level analysts and act as a subject matter expert for stakeholders and team members.
- Assess risk, follow applicable laws and policies, and escalate and report control issues transparently.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the financial services industry.
- Intermediate-level experience in an applications development role.
- Primary skills in Java and Spring Boot.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or changing requirements.
