Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, development, implementation, modernization, and support of Oracle APEX applications.
- Define architectural standards, reusable components, coding guidelines, development practices, solution architectures, integration designs, deployment models, and technical roadmaps.
- Develop Oracle APEX pages, workflows, reports, forms, dynamic actions, shared components, and security models.
- Design and optimize Oracle Database solutions using SQL and PL/SQL, and implement integrations using RESTful services, APIs, ORDS, and JSON.
- Lead design reviews, code reviews, performance assessments, security reviews, release readiness, deployment planning, validation, and post-production support.
- Troubleshoot complex application, database, integration, and performance issues and drive continuous operational and technical improvements.
- Provide technical leadership for distributed teams, mentor developers and technical leads, and communicate solution options, risks, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Support project planning, effort estimation, technical delivery governance, engineering quality metrics, audit readiness, and regulated software development practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required; a master's degree is preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in software engineering, enterprise applications, or solution architecture is required.
- Strong hands-on experience designing and developing Oracle APEX applications across the full software development lifecycle.
- Advanced expertise in Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL, with experience in database performance tuning, indexing, data modeling, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Oracle REST Data Services, REST APIs, JSON, integration technologies, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Experience with authentication, authorization, role-based access control, secure coding, source control, release management, and deployment automation.
- Proven experience leading solution architecture, technical delivery, large-scale complex technology initiatives, and geographically distributed teams.
- Experience defining and validating non-functional requirements for security, scalability, performance, availability, and maintainability.
- Preferred experience in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Clinical, Manufacturing, or other regulated industries.
- Preferred knowledge of GxP environments, Computer System Validation, Data Integrity, Change Control, CAPA, Audit Readiness, and platforms such as ELN, LIMS, QMS, CTMS, eTMF, or RIM.
- Industry certifications in Oracle, Cloud, Architecture, Security, Agile, ITIL, or related disciplines are preferred.
