Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, development, implementation, modernization, and support of Oracle APEX applications.
- Define architectural standards, reusable components, coding guidelines, solution architectures, integration designs, deployment models, and technical roadmaps.
- Develop and optimize Oracle APEX applications and Oracle Database solutions using SQL and PL/SQL.
- Architect and implement integrations using RESTful services, APIs, ORDS, JSON, and related technologies.
- Conduct design, code, performance, and security reviews and ensure non-functional requirements for security, scalability, performance, availability, and maintainability are met.
- Lead release readiness, deployment planning, validation, post-production support, troubleshooting, application monitoring, and operational improvement initiatives.
- Support project planning, effort estimation, technical delivery governance, engineering quality metrics, and continuous improvement.
- Lead technical discussions with business stakeholders, architects, product owners, development teams, infrastructure teams, and security organizations.
- Mentor developers and technical leads and promote technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and best-practice adoption.
- Support data integrity, access control, auditability, regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and controlled software development practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required; a master's degree is preferred.
- At least 15 years of experience in software engineering, enterprise applications, or solution architecture is required.
- Strong hands-on experience designing and developing Oracle APEX applications across the software development lifecycle.
- Advanced expertise in Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL, including performance tuning, indexing, data modeling, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Oracle REST Data Services, REST APIs, JSON, integration technologies, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Experience with authentication, authorization, role-based access control, secure coding, source control, CI/CD processes, release management, and deployment automation.
- Proven experience leading solution architecture, technical delivery activities, large-scale complex initiatives, and geographically distributed teams.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and technical leadership skills.
- Experience in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Clinical, Manufacturing, or other regulated industries is preferred.
- Knowledge of GxP, Computer System Validation, Data Integrity, Change Control, CAPA, and Audit Readiness is preferred.
- Experience integrating Oracle APEX with cloud platforms, analytics solutions, enterprise middleware, identity management systems, or document management platforms is preferred.
- Familiarity with ELN, LIMS, QMS, CTMS, eTMF, RIM, or related scientific and laboratory systems is preferred.
- Industry certifications in Oracle, Cloud, Architecture, Security, Agile, ITIL, or related disciplines are preferred.
