Responsibilities
- Design and ship production multi-agent AI systems, copilots, routing workflows, and specialized agents.
- Automate operational work across onboarding, support, exceptions, and document/data understanding.
- Build forecasting, prediction, matching, allocation, optimization, and reliability-scoring models for operational decisions.
- Create learning loops, data and evaluation infrastructure, and instrumentation connecting decisions to outcomes.
- Own evaluation, tracing, observability, guardrails, safe rollout, and reliability for complex AI workflows.
- Make build-versus-model-versus-agent-versus-rules decisions based on measurable outcomes.
- Advance the prototyping-to-production pipeline and mentor engineers as the AI team grows.
Requirements
- Experience shipping production AI/ML systems at scale and managing tradeoffs involving edge cases, quality, latency, cost, and reliability.
- Depth in generative or agentic AI, including multi-agent orchestration, tool/function calling, RAG, structured outputs, and modern agent frameworks and providers.
- Working fluency in applied ML and decision intelligence, including forecasting, optimization, matching/allocation, ranking, or prediction models.
- Ability to design evaluations tied to business outcomes, including offline and online evaluation, safe rollout, and drift monitoring.
- Strong hands-on Python, modern API and service development, and ML-systems and architecture skills.
- Experience building AI systems for operationally complex or high-stakes environments.
- Ability to communicate clearly, make decisions quickly, and lead technical work without heavy process.
- Preferred experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, marketplaces, mobility, fulfillment, operations research, optimization, reinforcement learning, bandits, multimodal or document understanding, computer-use, browser automation, real-time or streaming systems, feature stores, production MLOps, patents, publications, or founding-engineer work.
