Responsibilities

  • Lead QA strategy, risk analysis, test planning, and release-quality initiatives for Mirantis Secure Registry, Kubernetes, and cloud-native distributed systems.
  • Architect test frameworks and infrastructure for microservices, infrastructure components, multi-cluster environments, and hybrid clouds.
  • Design and oversee automated test scenarios covering production-like workloads, scaling, failure injection, recovery, system health, failover, and network resilience.
  • Develop scalable test automation integrated with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes APIs, Helm, service meshes, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Mentor QA engineers and developers in risk-based, chaos, performance, load, security, and advanced automation testing.
  • Establish quality gates, release-readiness metrics, and data-driven feedback loops, and participate in design reviews, production-readiness assessments, and incident retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with DevOps engineers to improve monitoring, alerting, debugging, and CI/CD testing automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software testing or quality engineering roles.
  • 4+ years focused on Kubernetes, cloud-native applications, and distributed systems.
  • Proven experience building and scaling testing strategies in enterprise-grade environments and influencing cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes internals, cluster lifecycle management, Helm, service meshes, network policies, cloud architecture, infrastructure provisioning, and containerized CI/CD.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills with Python, Pytest, and Bash.
  • Knowledge of observability stacks, Kubernetes security, performance benchmarking, Linux administration, networking, certificate/PKI management, containers, Kubernetes tooling, and GitOps.
  • Experience mentoring or coaching junior team members in testing fundamentals, troubleshooting, and automation.
  • Preferred qualifications include contributions to open-source Kubernetes or QA tooling, Kubernetes chaos-engineering experience, and certifications such as CKA, CKAD, or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
