Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and evolution of scalable Android applications and application architecture.
- Build reusable mobile components for sponsored products, sponsored brands, native placements, display banners, product recommendations, and other Retail Media experiences.
- Integrate advertising and personalized recommendation placements into search, category, product detail, discovery, and other commerce journeys.
- Collaborate with backend, data, product, ad server, and Retail Media teams on APIs, tracking contracts, campaign metadata, targeting, attribution, and measurement.
- Develop flexible solutions that support new ad formats, placements, campaigns, and monetization use cases.
- Improve modularization, code quality, dependency management, observability, testing, security, performance, application stability, and technical health.
- Improve CI/CD reliability, build performance, and release processes.
- Implement and evolve feature flags, experimentation frameworks, and A/B testing for customer and advertising experiences.
- Document architecture decisions, features, and technical processes, and guide critical technical and architectural decisions across teams.
Requirements
- Extensive experience developing Android applications with strong Kotlin expertise.
- Deep understanding of the Android SDK and modern Android development practices.
- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines and Flow, dependency injection using Hilt or Dagger, and REST APIs using Retrofit or OkHttp.
- Strong knowledge of clean architecture principles, design patterns, and modularization.
- Experience with JUnit, Espresso, and MockK, including writing maintainable and testable code.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows.
- Proven ability to independently own complex projects and deliver high-quality results.
- Strong focus on performance, scalability, user experience, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Experience in Retail Media, AdTech, MarTech, or large-scale e-commerce platforms.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across product, engineering, data, design, and business teams.
