Responsibilities
- Design and implement features for the Windows update stack client supporting update discovery, installation, and lifecycle management.
- Improve the quality, reliability, security, and resilience of update components and architecture.
- Collaborate with Windows and WSD teams to enable efficient updates for applications, security updates, and ML/AI models.
- Design, test, develop, debug, and troubleshoot features based on customer requirements.
- Support quarterly planning and build internal processes and tools for reliable code shipment to validation rings and retail customers.
- Monitor monthly Windows retail releases and diagnose, mitigate, and resolve issues.
- Mentor developers and interns and collaborate with software engineers and architects globally.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with software design, coding, rapid prototyping, debugging, and problem solving.
- Recent experience implementing products or services that use generative AI models and agents.
- Operating-system fundamentals and deployment-technology experience.
- Strong coding, debugging, problem-solving, customer-focus, collaboration, and communication skills.
- A demonstrated record of learning, growth, and contribution to team culture.
