Responsibilities
- Design and evolve multi-account, multi-region AWS cloud networking using Terraform, including VPCs, subnetting, routing, Transit Gateway, DNS, and load balancing.
- Operate partner and bank connectivity using VPNs, IPSec/IKEv2, Direct Connect, and BGP routing.
- Improve edge infrastructure with CloudFront, AWS Shield, WAF configurations, and CDN failover strategies.
- Troubleshoot distributed network issues using TCP/IP, routing, and traffic-flow analysis.
- Build and maintain Go services and automation for provisioning and managing AWS resources, including tests, code review, and production support.
- Deliver infrastructure work end to end, contribute to multi-account governance and paved-path abstractions, and collaborate with SRE, Security, and Platform teams.
- Participate in a five-person weekly on-call rotation and occasional late syncs with Seattle from 4–6 PM CET.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in software, cloud, or infrastructure engineering, including production coding and hands-on AWS experience.
- Deep knowledge of cloud networking, including VPC design, subnetting, routing, Transit Gateway, DNS, and load balancing.
- Strong hands-on experience building and operating infrastructure as code, preferably with Terraform.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP and network traffic-flow analysis, with the ability to troubleshoot distributed connectivity issues.
- Experience operating production infrastructure and understanding versioning, deployment, and CI/CD practices.
- Familiarity with CloudFront, WAF, Shield, VPN, Direct Connect, or BGP is preferred.
- Understanding of multi-account governance and organizational tooling is preferred; Kubernetes or EKS familiarity is a plus.
