Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary Japan-office contact for requirements gathering, meetings, and direct client communications.
- Receive client feedback, analyze system behavior, reproduce cloud application bugs, and determine solutions.
- Assign daily tasks, coordinate workloads, and monitor delivery progress for a five-member development team.
- Provide technical direction, mentoring, and Java-based solutions for complex engineering challenges.
- Perform system health checks, investigate logs, and aggregate and analyze CSV data for reporting.
Requirements
- JLPT N2 or above with native-level Japanese fluency, including the ability to structure logical arguments, draft formal emails, and present to Japanese clients.
- Solid background and hands-on experience in Java web application development.
- Practical knowledge of AWS, including EC2, RDS, ELB, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, S3, SQS, and CloudWatch.
- Proficiency with basic Linux commands and system log investigation involving Tomcat, Nginx, and ELB.
- Proven team-management experience, strong crisis-management skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure.
