Responsibilities
- Build core machine learning systems for a proactive, long-horizon AI product.
- Own data preparation, training, evaluation, inference, and iteration end to end.
- Translate research ideas into reliable production systems.
- Debug model failures and system issues using real production signals.
- Optimize systems for latency, cost, reliability, accuracy, efficiency, and safety.
- Monitor, resolve, and minimize disruption from complex production issues.
- Build robust, scalable, and maintainable training, inference, and data pipelines.
- Mentor and review other machine learning engineers through technical guidance and example.
- Collaborate with research, product, and engineering to deliver user impact and integrate ML features into products.
Requirements
- Experience building and shipping machine learning systems used by real users.
- Understanding of how modern machine learning models behave and fail in production.
- Strong production-quality coding and systems-thinking skills.
- Ability to take ownership, work independently, and execute ambiguous projects through completion.
- Ability to learn quickly, communicate clearly, and improve through iteration.
