Responsibilities
- Contribute hands-on to the design, development, delivery, and support of software solutions.
- Collaborate with technical leads, product leads, and business leads to deliver customer-focused applications.
- Provide leadership and expert counsel on engineering standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Shape the technical direction, architecture, and design of mission-critical retail credit platforms.
- Support operational excellence and reliability for robust, scalable systems.
- Participate in continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the development community.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer.
- Strong technical background in modern backend and frontend technologies, including Java, Spring Boot, and Angular.
- Hands-on experience with GraphQL, microservices architecture, and application integrations.
- Understanding of design patterns, SQL and NoSQL databases, and modern software architecture principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
- Familiarity with BPMN, DMN, Camunda, or Pega is an asset.
- Experience with home equity finance, mortgage origination, adjudication, or fulfillment is an asset.
- Experience developing and deploying distributed cloud applications using Pivotal Cloud Foundry, OpenShift, Docker, or Azure.
- Experience with GitHub Copilot or other generative AI tools is an asset.
- Strong experience with automated testing frameworks and tools including JUnit, Mockito, WireMock, and contract testing tools.
