Responsibilities
- Translate requirements into clean, efficient, extensible, and maintainable software designs and code.
- Own subsystems and the full software lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, observability, monitoring, release, and on-call support.
- Build scalable distributed web platforms, APIs, server-side components, and modern frontend applications.
- Provide technical guidance, code reviews, coaching, and mentorship across teams.
- Lead feature planning, task decomposition, issue resolution, end-to-end testing improvements, and engineering roadmap development.
- Collaborate across functions to develop innovative ecommerce solutions and improve engineering velocity.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Java, GraphQL, Spring or Spring Boot, REST APIs, messaging systems, and backend programming languages.
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing frontend systems using JavaScript or TypeScript, CSS, React, Node.js, server-side rendering, Material UI or Ant UI, Webpack, and Express.js.
- 5+ years of experience building large-scale distributed web platforms or APIs, including 2+ years as a lead developer responsible for specific functional areas.
- Experience independently leading small- to mid-size projects.
- Experience with structured and unstructured data, ML data pipelines, feature engineering, model training, RDBMS, NoSQL, and Elasticsearch.
- Proficiency with Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot and familiarity with React, Angular, and Spring Boot.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Strong ownership, communication, collaboration, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
