Responsibilities
- Deliver backend solutions end-to-end, from data modeling through APIs and evaluation logic.
- Contribute to the design of identity security posture systems and author and review technical design documents.
- Build and scale Go backend services, including event-driven systems, REST/gRPC APIs, cron jobs, and integration layers.
- Design, model, and optimize database schemas for large-scale, multi-tenant identity workloads.
- Implement Kafka-based event-driven workflows for asynchronous processing and continuous identity posture evaluation.
- Maintain service reliability and health through runbooks, feature flags, monitoring, on-call participation, incident response, and SLO management.
- Collaborate with technical leads, engineering managers, product management, and fellow engineers to scope, prioritize, and deliver quarterly milestones.
Requirements
- At least four years of software development experience, including approximately two years building production-grade backend services.
- Extensive production experience with Go and idiomatic service development, clean design patterns, thorough testing, and robust error handling.
- Experience designing and operating scalable, multi-tenant, event-driven distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar high-throughput event-streaming technologies.
- Strong SQL and PostgreSQL proficiency, including schema design, query optimization, and multi-tenant data modeling.
- Ability to communicate technical trade-offs, contribute to design documents, and collaborate with technical leads, product managers, and engineers.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted software development workflows and tools.
- Experience in identity security, IAM, security posture management, or cybersecurity products is preferred.
- Experience with gRPC/Protobuf API design is preferred.
- Production-level React and TypeScript skills for occasional user-facing contributions are preferred.
