Base Salary
$120k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the full stack using React, Django, and PostgreSQL, including building, shipping, and scaling the product.
- Design and scale backend APIs, data models, and infrastructure for potentially rapid usage growth.
- Develop frontend architecture, performance, and user experience.
- Partner with product, computer vision, and design teams to launch cohesive features.
- Deploy, monitor, debug, and harden production systems across AWS, GCP, and Heroku.
- Prototype quickly, iterate with real customers, and prioritize effective product outcomes.
Requirements
- Strong web architecture, system design, and performance fundamentals.
- Ability to work across frontend, backend, and infrastructure without narrowly defined ownership boundaries.
- Product judgment and the ability to build user-focused features in partnership with product, computer vision, and design teams.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity, manage multiple parallel workstreams, and execute under production pressure.
- Experience scaling systems is valued, though the posting states candidates may also be able to figure it out quickly.
- Resourcefulness, rapid learning, and the ability to prototype and iterate with customers.
