Responsibilities
- Develop secure, scalable, multi-threaded software solutions from technical requirements and design artifacts.
- Program, test, implement, document, maintain, and support systems application software according to Mastercard standards.
- Research and evaluate technical solution alternatives for current and future business needs.
- Perform code reviews and apply software development best practices and design patterns.
- Design and develop automated API, UI, and system-to-system interface tests.
- Create automation tests for operations teams to use in CI/CD quality gates and refactor automation code when needed.
- Follow quality assurance and quality control processes and help validate application functionality through test strategies, frameworks, tools, and reports.
- Collaborate with project teams, identify emerging issues, recommend solutions, and support project and software metrics reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve standards, processes, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, information technology, computer science, or engineering.
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience building scalable, maintainable, multi-threaded software products.
- Strong experience with Angular, Java, Spring Core, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Hibernate/JPA, Maven or Gradle, PL/SQL, Unix/Shell scripting, and Tomcat.
- Strong experience with SOAP and RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of cloud-native development using Pivotal Cloud Foundry and AWS.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
- Experience or familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Rest-assured, TestNG, and Postman.
- Understanding of Java and microservices design patterns and common industry programming practices.
- Ability to innovate, solve complex design problems, learn and deploy new technologies, make independent decisions, multitask, and meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and experience working in dynamic, collaborative, cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Agile methodology.
