Base Salary
$262k - $364k/yr
Responsibilities
- Guide the strategy, architecture, and long-term technical roadmap for Google’s XR offerings on iOS and first-party XR experiences.
- Advocate for and enable new capabilities so XR experiences feel deeply native to iOS.
- Design, build, test, and launch critical cross-platform XR APIs and SDKs while conducting architectural design reviews.
- Partner with UX, product management, and XR teams to define, prototype, and test experiences across iOS and other platforms.
- Provide technical mentorship and architectural oversight to engineering teams.
- Drive adoption of workflow improvements that enhance engineering productivity and software quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 7 years of experience with iOS application development.
- 5 years of experience with software design and architecture and with testing and launching software products.
- Preferred: experience with LLM integration, prompt engineering, and highly extensible APIs and SDKs.
- Preferred: proficiency in spatial interactions, 3D game engines, or performance optimization for resource-constrained hardware.
- Preferred: experience applying reactive UI frameworks, especially SwiftUI, to scalable high-performance system interfaces.
- Preferred: ability to influence VP-level leadership and external partners and translate complex architectures into clear alignment.
- Preferred: experience driving system-level features, resolving ambiguous platform issues, mentoring engineers, and defining technical strategy for complex iOS ecosystems.
