Base Salary
$196k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, code, implement, and maintain technical solutions and operational processes for secure and reliable high-value digital asset transactions.
- Develop and deploy security automation and tooling to measure, monitor, and communicate the real-time security posture of digital assets.
- Maintain and enhance programs that proactively monitor and respond to smart contract risks.
- Guide engineering teams on digital asset and smart contract security best practices and security-by-design principles.
- Advise on digital asset security engineering methodologies, tooling decisions, and vendor integrations.
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional Finance, Product, and Engineering teams.
- Mentor and evangelize security practices while fostering security ownership across engineering teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of industry experience in security and/or engineering focused on building services to secure digital assets.
- Strong understanding of security architecture for digital asset primitives and end-to-end security for high-value on-chain and off-chain transactions.
- Strong working knowledge of key management solutions such as MPC and HSMs, cryptography, and secure cryptographic key lifecycle management.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or Python.
- Experience handling sensitive work with discretion and professionalism.
- Ability to become a trusted digital asset security advisor and engineer to the business.
- Clear, concise technical communication and writing skills, including the ability to translate complex security and compliance topics into engineering requirements.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments amid ambiguity and complexity.
