Responsibilities
- Own the global reference architecture for the AI Factory governance and runtime platform layer.
- Standardize and integrate policy-as-code, identity and permissioning, model gateways and routing/caching, vector/RAG, prompt management, observability/telemetry, secrets, and data controls.
- Define platform blueprints and APIs with FinOps, safety, compliance, and quality guardrails for FDE squads and service teams.
- Curate AI tools and frameworks, operate sandboxes, establish platform standards, and manage deprecation and retirement cycles.
- Design multi-tenant, compliant, secure architectures aligned with Security, CISO, Risk, Compliance, Data Protection, and Legal requirements.
- Build reference implementations, guide productionization, and establish reliability, zero-trust, disaster recovery, and runbook practices.
- Establish model lifecycle governance covering evaluation, red teaming, bias and safety testing, provenance, audit, and change management.
- Optimize inference cost and performance through caching, batching, and compression, and implement usage policies, quotas, and quality controls.
- Partner with business units, Allianz entities, vendors, and internal technology leaders to align roadmaps, SLAs/SLOs, and operational processes.
- Create documentation, reusable patterns, and enablement materials that accelerate delivery teams.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in AI/ML platform architecture and engineering, including enterprise-scale reference architectures for governance, runtime, model gateways, vector/RAG pipelines, and observability.
- Strong command of AI governance and model lifecycle management, including policy-as-code, red teaming, bias and safety testing, provenance, audit frameworks, and change management.
- Proven ability to define and enforce platform standards across complex technology landscapes, curate tool and framework ecosystems, operate sandboxes, and manage deprecation cycles.
- Extensive experience designing multi-tenant, compliant, and secure architectures, with knowledge of zero-trust principles, disaster recovery, and regulatory stakeholder alignment.
- Strong FinOps and cost-optimization expertise, including inference efficiency, usage policies, quotas, and quality controls.
- Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries with business units, global entities, vendors, and technology leaders to align roadmaps, SLAs/SLOs, and platform operations.
- Track record of building reference implementations, plug-and-play blueprints, developer documentation, and reusable engineering patterns.
- Machine learning knowledge is a strong advantage.
