Responsibilities
- Develop, design, test, debug, and implement software applications for trading and securities lending.
- Resolve complex business and system problems through analysis of business processes, system processes, and industry standards.
- Ensure application designs adhere to the overall architecture blueprint and establish coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards.
- Work with traders and global technology teams to deliver business solutions.
- Analyze issues, define innovative solutions, and understand how architecture and infrastructure support business goals.
- Advise or coach mid-level developers and analysts and allocate work as needed.
- Assess and manage risk, comply with applicable laws and policies, and escalate and report control issues transparently.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in application development or systems analysis.
- Extensive experience in systems analysis and software application programming.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects.
- Subject matter expertise in at least one area of applications development.
- Strong development experience with Java, Kafka, SQL, and Git.
- Experience with QA, TDD, and BDD practices.
- Ability to work under pressure, adjust priorities, solve problems, think strategically, and collaborate across global teams and time zones.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- React and full-stack development experience is beneficial, and knowledge of Prime Services is a plus.
