Responsibilities
- Lead hosted and remotely managed customer projects from kickoff through UAT and go-live.
- Provide technical consultation for upgrades, migrations, post-deployment changes, and complex recurring issues.
- Define and validate technical requirements, system stability and monitoring practices, and adherence to SAS Cloud standards.
- Perform SAS administration, configure and debug mid-tier software, manage container-based applications, and develop tools for SAS and third-party software.
- Apply change, incident, and problem management practices and maintain runbooks, knowledge-base articles, and wiki content.
- Work directly with customers, support teams, vendors, and global SAS teams to resolve issues and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer, mentor and train team members, and lead initiatives that improve service quality, efficiency, and automation.
- Support planned technical activities, major customer events, and occasional operational requirements outside core business hours.
- Follow applicable security policies and processes supporting secure software development goals.
Requirements
- Experience writing programs in more than one language.
- At least two years of experience in end-user and system-administrator consulting or other first-level consulting.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science or Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification.
- Previous technical experience in at least four relevant areas, including SAS administration or support, AWS or Azure, Kubernetes, enterprise systems or customer support, UNIX or Linux, customer management, or large commercial IT cloud systems.
- Fluency in English and proof of the right to work in Spain.
- Spanish fluency is preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of related education, training, and experience may be considered in place of the stated qualifications.
- Experience with SAS Coding and CI/CD is listed as an additional competency.
