Responsibilities
- Own product features end to end, from understanding customer problems through design, implementation, release, monitoring, and iteration.
- Build and scale Go backend services that ingest and model AI spend and expose capabilities through APIs.
- Develop TypeScript and React product experiences that make cloud cost and usage data clear and actionable.
- Understand AI spend, token and model pricing, inference, GPU economics, and FinOps workflows.
- Use AI tools across coding, debugging, testing, documentation, codebase exploration, and vendor API research.
- Set engineering standards through design reviews, guardrails, sound engineering practices, and peer mentorship.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including multi-tenant SaaS products and end-to-end production ownership.
- Strong experience with Go for backend services, APIs, data processing, and operations.
- Strong TypeScript and modern React experience, with skill in presenting data effectively.
- Ability to work across the stack from data models and backend services through user interfaces.
- Experience with public cloud, preferably GCP, or AWS or Azure, and working proficiency in SQL with an analytical store such as BigQuery.
- Product-oriented judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and ability to set technical direction for others.
- Existing use of AI tools across the software engineering workflow, with the ability to assess their strengths and limitations.
- Strong knowledge of software engineering practices, design patterns, and architectural principles.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- FinOps or FinOps product knowledge is preferred, and a BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience and a portfolio are bonus qualifications.
