Responsibilities

Define and drive solution architecture for enterprise applications.
Lead technical design activities and support implementation across distributed teams.
Modernize and evolve complex legacy systems.
Design solutions that are scalable, maintainable, secure, and high performing.
Collaborate with developers, architects, QA, DevOps, business stakeholders, and distributed delivery teams.
Support delivery throughout the full software development lifecycle.
Promote engineering best practices and architectural standards across teams.
Contribute to long-term technology roadmaps and future architecture decisions.

7+ years of experience in enterprise software development and solution architecture.
Strong Java background, including Java 11/17 and Java EE or Jakarta EE.
Strong database design and development expertise, particularly with PostgreSQL.
Hands-on experience with Eclipse RCP, SWT, JFace, and WildFly Application Server.
Understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design principles, and design patterns.
Experience leading legacy-system modernization and working in complex enterprise environments.
Experience with JPA/Hibernate, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Maven, and Azure DevOps is advantageous.
Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with geographically distributed technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Remote work after initial onboarding, with 2–3 weeks onsite in Dresden followed by approximately one week of Dresden travel each quarter.
