Base Salary
$124k - $222k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own iOS technical direction for the Retention & Monetization team across the Everand and Scribd apps.
- Build subscription, paywall, in-app purchase, plan management, cancellation, save, and retention features using StoreKit.
- Ship A/B experiments and features tied to revenue, conversion, and user retention.
- Partner with backend, web, and Android engineers on shared subscription systems.
- Improve app stability, address technical debt, and migrate legacy code to newer technologies.
- Break down large projects, lead technical initiatives, unblock teammates, and provide mentorship.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience shipping iOS apps to the public, including consumer applications at scale.
- Strong proficiency in Swift with deep experience in SwiftUI and UIKit.
- Experience working with mature codebases containing Objective-C.
- Experience building in-app purchase or subscription features with StoreKit and knowledge of applicable App Store rules.
- Experience designing, building, and consuming APIs, with GraphQL experience a plus.
- Track record of addressing technical debt and migrating code without slowing delivery.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to lead technical initiatives collaboratively.
- Nice-to-have experience includes subscription systems, payments, retention features, experimentation platforms such as Statsig, product analytics, JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, Auth0, and cross-platform collaboration.
