Responsibilities
- Design and lead secure, highly available AWS cloud architectures.
- Architect federated authentication, multi-factor authentication, customer identity and access management, and least-privilege IAM solutions.
- Design event-driven, serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS, and related AWS services.
- Design data engineering platforms for ingestion, normalization, enrichment, and API-driven integration.
- Plan and govern Amazon Connect integrations with backend systems.
- Enforce encryption, audit logging, data governance, and GDPR, CCPA, and FedRAMP compliance controls.
- Define, implement, and govern Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
- Lead reusable IaC module development and integrate IaC pipelines into CI/CD workflows.
- Review IaC code quality, security policies, version control, and deployment standards.
- Translate business needs into secure, scalable cloud and data solutions.
- Evaluate emerging AWS technologies and produce architecture documentation covering decisions, tradeoffs, and security controls.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of professional cloud architecture experience with deep AWS expertise.
- AWS Solutions Architect certification is mandatory; AWS Security Specialty certification is nice to have.
- Experience with AWS Cognito, IAM, SAML, OIDC, and OAuth2 for identity management and secure access.
- Strong experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, and EventBridge for serverless and event-driven architecture.
- Experience architecting relational, NoSQL, caching, and ETL-based data platforms using PostgreSQL, Aurora RDS, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, and Redis.
- Knowledge of cloud contact center solutions, ideally Amazon Connect, and their integration strategies.
- Expertise in cloud security, encryption, data governance, auditability, and compliance frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and CloudFormation at scale.
- Experience implementing and governing CI/CD pipelines involving IaC deployments and automated testing.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments, DevOps tooling, customer experience or identity platforms, AWS SageMaker, AWS Comprehend, AWS Lex, and the Zendesk ecosystem.
