Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end development of customer-facing products and platform capabilities from design and implementation through rollout and operational excellence.
- Ship, validate, and iterate on scalable product experiences based on customer feedback and outcomes.
- Build AI-powered workflows using LLMs, agentic technologies, evaluations, feedback loops, and human-in-the-loop systems.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Design, ML, and platform teams across web, mobile, APIs, and downstream integrations.
- Lead complex technical initiatives, make architectural decisions, resolve ambiguity, and improve system quality and scalability.
- Champion Samsara’s cultural principles while helping the engineering organization scale.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience building, shipping, and operating scalable and reliable customer-facing production systems.
- Experience developing end-to-end solutions across backend services, APIs, and modern web applications.
- Ability to move quickly, navigate ambiguity, and make thoughtful technical tradeoffs.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in AI-native development, including LLMs, evaluations, and agentic workflows.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering and cross-functional teams.
- Growth mindset, product intuition, and enthusiasm for learning technologies and building impactful customer experiences.
- Preferred experience building and scaling customer-facing AI/LLM products in production.
- Preferred experience with Go, GraphQL, TypeScript, React, AWS, LLM evaluation and optimization tools, monitoring, observability, feedback loops, and cost/performance tuning.
- Experience working in fast-paced, highly collaborative environments with distributed teams is preferred.
