Responsibilities
- Mentor software engineers and propose solutions to complex engineering problems.
- Design, develop, debug, refactor, and maintain secure, scalable full-stack applications and tools.
- Drive software development lifecycle execution, including code reviews, source control, builds, testing, and operations.
- Develop responsive front-end applications and scalable back-end applications or APIs.
- Drive test-driven development, automated testing, performance testing, load testing, and development/QA automation.
- Use Google Cloud Platform services to improve application reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Improve code analysis, review, deployment pipeline, logging, monitoring, and repetitive task automation.
- Collaborate with QA and multiple engineering teams to deliver complex software solutions.
- Share knowledge and promote strong software engineering practices across the engineering organization.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or in a similar role.
- Strong front-end development experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and React or Angular.
- Experience developing mobile-first responsive applications.
- Back-end development experience with at least one of JavaScript, Python, or C#/.NET.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and its relevant services or components.
- Experience with Node.js, React, Angular, Flask, or .NET.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Understanding of third-party data transactions and security for RESTful APIs or WebSockets.
- Experience driving automation initiatives with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, GitHub, or Jenkins.
- Knowledge of application logging, monitoring, performance management, Firebase App Analytics, or Bugsnag.
- Experience with performance testing and load testing tools.
- Excellent communication, organization, teamwork, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
