Responsibilities
- Drive improvements to QA and quality engineering practices, testing effectiveness, release reliability, and development efficiency.
- Design, build, and scale automated testing frameworks and solutions.
- Develop test strategies covering automated and exploratory regression, integration, end-to-end, performance, and reliability testing.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and DevOps teams to improve feature testability and quality.
- Promote shift-left quality practices and influence feature design, acceptance criteria, and implementation decisions.
- Evaluate and adopt AI-assisted tools for test design, automation development, defect analysis, and engineering productivity.
- Investigate complex defects, perform root-cause analysis, and support incident and defect management.
- Measure and improve automation coverage, defect prevention, release confidence, and other quality outcomes.
- Mentor QA engineers and contribute to continuous improvement across the engineering organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in software quality engineering, including extensive experience building and maintaining automated testing solutions.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in test automation development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript and solid software engineering fundamentals.
- Strong expertise in API testing, frontend UI automation, and end-to-end testing strategies.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases, including complex queries for data validation, test data preparation, and defect investigation.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and component interactions.
- Deep knowledge of test design, test architecture, defect lifecycle management, and quality engineering practices.
- Ability to collaborate across Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams.
- Preferred experience with AI-assisted engineering tools, AI-driven quality workflows, distributed systems, microservices, event-driven applications, quality metrics, and high-growth SaaS platforms.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, verbal, and written English communication skills.
