Responsibilities

Design and implement Python-based automation frameworks for database lifecycle management.
Collaborate with infrastructure teams to integrate systems via APIs.
Optimize Postgres performance, replication, and backup strategies.
Participate in LATAM Time-friendly on-call shifts with weekend coverage.

Deep experience in both database engineering/administration and software development.
Strong background in Python; ability to develop robust automation beyond basic scripting.
7+ years of professional experience with relational databases, preferably Postgres.
Solid understanding of SQL; experience with procedural languages is beneficial.
Familiarity with cloud environments and infrastructure-as-code tools is helpful.
Passion for automating repetitive tasks and improving operational efficiency.
Proactive and resourceful with strong problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration in a distributed team.
