Responsibilities
- Design and implement security for AWS-native data platforms, including VPC architecture, network isolation, security groups, NACLs, VPC endpoints, and PrivateLink.
- Configure and operate AWS security services including Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector, CloudTrail, Config, KMS, and Secrets Manager.
- Apply least-privilege IAM design, encryption at rest and in transit, secure key and secret management, threat detection, and continuous security monitoring.
- Secure real-time and streaming data pipelines, including CDC, event-driven ingestion, ETL/ELT processing, UPSERT patterns, and near-real-time workloads.
- Support infrastructure-as-code security using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
- Support data masking, tokenisation, fine-grained access controls, compliance, audit, and regulatory requirements on AWS platforms.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of experience in cloud or platform security.
- Strong hands-on experience as a Platform or Cloud Security Engineer securing AWS-native data platforms.
- Deep understanding of AWS cloud security design, including VPC architecture, network isolation, Security Groups, NACLs, VPC Endpoints, and PrivateLink.
- Practical experience with AWS native security services including Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector, CloudTrail, Config, KMS, and Secrets Manager.
- Strong knowledge of least-privilege IAM, encryption, secure secret and key management, threat detection, and continuous security monitoring.
- Preferred experience securing streaming data pipelines, AWS data pipelines, CDC workloads, Terraform or CloudFormation infrastructure, data-level security controls, and AWS compliance requirements.
- Preferred familiarity with AWS WAF, Firewall Manager, OpenSearch, SIEM integrations, centralized logging, and monitoring.
- AWS Security Specialty or AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional certification is preferred.
