Senior Engineer, Live Streaming Video Specialist

Responsibilities
- Operate and improve the live broadcast video pipeline for thousands of events annually.
- Monitor stream health and viewer quality of experience at scale.
- Design and implement data models and queries for SQL databases.
- Build and maintain backend microservices using Node.js/NestJS and/or Go.
- Write and execute unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
- Participate in code reviews to promote continuous learning.
- Collaborate with product managers to define and deliver new features.
- Diagnose and resolve live broadcast issues in real time.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience operating live broadcast video at scale.
- Deep understanding of the live broadcast signal chain and redundancy.
- Experience with live streaming transport protocols like SRT and RTMP.
- Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and/or Go.
- Experience with SQL databases and building RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with NestJS or similar backend frameworks.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests using Jest and Vitest.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
