Base Salary
$120k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build full-stack product features end-to-end, including domain models, business logic, and API integrations.
- Drive deployment and iterative delivery toward product milestones.
- Use SQL and analytics tools to evaluate product and system performance.
- Test and debug complex state machines in an event-driven backend using pub/sub messaging.
- Ship to production daily through a rapid CI/CD pipeline, own implementations end-to-end, and respond to production incidents as needed.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building backend features end-to-end for production systems.
- Proficiency designing and consuming RESTful APIs, including authentication, authorization patterns, and rate limiting.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues such as Kafka or Pub/Sub.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including data modeling and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, automated testing, and code review processes.
- Experience developing consumer-facing products.
- Experience debugging complex state machines in event-driven systems.
- Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and system design.
- Meaningful experience at an early-stage startup or high-growth environment.
- Experience with Go deployed on GCP is a plus.
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco or Seattle for in-person work.
Benefits
- Salary range is $120,000 to $200,000 USD annually.
- Visa sponsorship is available.
- On-site in San Francisco, California, with Seattle also considered; this is not a remote role.
