Base Salary
$120k - $140k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, train, validate, deploy, monitor, and retrain computer-vision models on 2D and 3D CT data.
- Scope ML applications, define data and labeling approaches, establish success criteria, and deliver customer inspection solutions.
- Operate Lumafield scanners, perform analysis in Voyager, and present technical results to customers.
- Work remotely and on-site with customer engineering and manufacturing teams to translate business problems into ML solutions.
- Partner with Project Managers to define deliverables, timelines, progress updates, and risks.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Software Engineering to convert recurring customer needs into product capabilities.
- Contribute to AI/ML strategy, model evaluation standards, deployment patterns, and governance.
- Create model documentation, validation memos, customer reports, and internal and customer-facing software components using LLM prompting, agentic frameworks, and AI-assisted coding.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience, including hands-on development and evaluation of computer-vision models on image data.
- Experience with object detection, classification, labeling, validation, and the full ML model lifecycle.
- Experience working directly with customers or non-ML stakeholders to translate engineering and business problems into ML solutions.
- Comfort working in engineering and manufacturing environments, including on production floors.
- Ability to work autonomously with a distributed team and communicate technical results to engineering, product, and executive audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to ship practical models while balancing speed, quality, and customer impact.
- Willingness to travel approximately 30%, primarily to customer sites.
- Preferred experience includes industrial CT, volumetric or 3D computer vision, NDT and inspection workflows, customer-facing technical applications or solutions engineering, manufacturing systems such as MES, SPC, or PLM, AI/ML strategy, or relevant experience in medical devices, aerospace and defense, automotive, electronics, or batteries.
