Base Salary
$179k - $269k/yr
Responsibilities
- Replace legacy Ansible-based bootstrapping workflows with maintainable, testable Python and systems-language tooling
- Develop backend services for deployment systems integrating with Artifactory and Jenkins
- Connect deployment systems to hardware-in-the-loop integration testing
- Build automation that helps teams deploy software reliably while reducing manual work
- Collaborate with Security, Safety, and Embedded teams to meet secure, robust, and automotive deployment requirements
- Add monitoring, logging, and debugging capabilities to deployment pipelines
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, or a PhD
- Strong proficiency in Python for automation, tooling, and service development
- Experience with at least one systems language such as Rust, Go, or C++
- Familiarity with Linux systems administration and scripting, including systemd, networking, and package management
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, or deployment automation such as Ansible, Terraform, or Salt
- Comfort working with CI/CD pipelines and release tooling
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug across system boundaries
- Experience in DevOps, SRE, infrastructure, autonomous vehicles, robotics, embedded, or IoT domains is preferred
- Familiarity with embedded Linux environments, ECU or edge-device deployment, Bazel, OTA update systems, fleet management, gRPC, or Protocol Buffers is preferred
- Background in safety-critical or regulated industries is preferred
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States; visa sponsorship is available
