Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end traffic platform milestones from problem definition through rollout and post-release follow-up.
- Own complex infrastructure problems and balance reliability, performance, security, and delivery effort when selecting solutions.
- Design for failure, implement appropriate testing and observability, respond to incidents, and drive preventative follow-up work.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and partner teams to establish priorities, technical plans, and milestones.
- Use AI tools and agents to investigate issues, write and review code, explore solutions, and automate repetitive work.
- Create technical documentation and runbooks, share knowledge, and contribute to engineering reviews and initiatives.
- Support engineer growth through code reviews, design discussions, pairing, and day-to-day collaboration.
- Participate in support and on-call routines and use incidents, tickets, and metrics to improve the platform.
Requirements
- Experience operating large-scale, high-performance synchronous distributed systems in the cloud, including load balancers, reverse proxies, TLS/mTLS, routing, metrics, logs, and traces.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes infrastructure, Infrastructure-as-Code, manifests, routing and deployment strategies, and DNS configuration.
- Daily engineering use of AI tools and agents with validation of their outputs and strong quality and safety standards.
- Experience leading infrastructure platform projects from design through production launch, stabilization, and continued evolution.
- Experience with Istio, Linkerd, Envoy-based solutions, Finagle, or comparable service-mesh technologies.
- Production experience with AWS networking and compute primitives including ALB, NLB, security groups, VPC, Route 53, and IAM.
- Hands-on experience with Pulumi or Terraform for safe, repeatable cloud and Kubernetes infrastructure changes.
- Experience building platform capabilities, shared libraries, SDKs, or internal tooling for other engineers.
