Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead strategy and execution of the technical roadmap for the Platform Engineering domain.
- Design, build, improve, and enhance complex high-performance, zero-downtime systems and applications.
- Provide enterprise-wide technical and thought leadership across multiple areas.
- Collaborate with product managers, customers, sponsors, and engineering teams to solve critical technical problems.
- Ensure the quality, usability, performance, and operational effectiveness of solutions.
- Mentor engineers, coach technical communities, share best practices, and influence executives.
- Analyze costs, forecast needs, support resource planning, and measure operational outcomes.
- Partner with teams to transfer research into production and support continuous learning.
- Participate in on-call and operational support.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional experience in software development, platform architecture, administration, governance, infrastructure management, installation, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network systems.
- At least 4 years of experience with open-source frameworks.
- At least 3 years of experience with architecture and design.
- At least 3 years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or hybrid data centers.
- Deep hands-on experience with complex system design, data pipelines and architectures, scalability, performance tuning, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with governance and policy engines such as Cloud Custodian and Open Policy Agent.
- Advanced knowledge of at least one object-oriented programming language such as Go or Python.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.
- Strong understanding of REST/SOAP web-service integration and enterprise middleware integration tiers.
- Experience with continuous delivery, Infrastructure as Code, developer tooling, big data, streaming data, ETL pipeline architecture, and open-source monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies, quantitative problem-solving, and open-source software is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent education or work experience.
