Applied AI ML Lead
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Define and drive the roadmap for reusable agent-based platform capabilities with measurable reliability and usability outcomes.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of software development kits, reference implementations, integration patterns, and other core agent platform components.
- Align requirements and technical trade-offs with product, engineering, risk, and control stakeholders.
- Establish quality, performance, monitoring, testing, operational, and incident-readiness standards for agent workloads.
- Translate experimentation into production through architecture decisions, scalable designs, and repeatable deployment practices.
- Embed governance, privacy, responsible AI, and model-risk considerations into platform design.
- Mentor team members through technical coaching, design reviews, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
- Communicate technical strategy and progress to senior stakeholders using clear, data-informed recommendations.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in applied artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts plus at least 5 years of applied experience.
- Experience building and operating production software systems that integrate machine learning capabilities.
- Strong programming skills in at least one modern language such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX and model lifecycle tooling.
- Experience designing platforms or shared services used by multiple teams, including clear interfaces, documentation, and developer experience.
- Working knowledge of cloud and container orchestration concepts such as Kubernetes and performance or reliability engineering fundamentals.
- Ability to lead through influence, drive technical alignment, clarify ambiguity, evaluate trade-offs, and deliver cross-functional outcomes.
- Preferred experience with agent-based systems, orchestration patterns, agent development tooling, evaluation frameworks, and scalable inference or model-serving architectures.
- Preferred familiarity with responsible AI, model risk, governance-by-design, open-source machine learning or infrastructure software, and regulated financial-services use cases.
