Responsibilities
- Consult with internal business groups to provide high-level application software development services and technical support.
- Program well-designed, testable, and efficient code.
- Analyze, design, and develop tests and test-automation suites.
- Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to satisfy requirements and solutions.
- Maintain software functionality and currency.
- Participate in code reviews and integrate software components into fully functional software systems.
- Apply security and privacy principles in software development.
- Advise internal business groups and IT management on implementation opportunities, challenges, requirements, emerging technologies, and corporate integration strategies.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership and consulting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required.
- 10–14 years of software development experience is required.
- Thorough knowledge of user-side frontend and backend server-side website development is required.
- Intermediate understanding of security principles, relational databases, and architecture design principles is required.
- Proficiency with application development toolkits and technologies such as C#, Java, HTML, Node.js, CSS, JSON, Angular, and JavaScript is required.
- Experience with application frameworks and containerization is required or expected.
- Strong communication, organization, teamwork, and interpersonal skills are required.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- Prior lead and consulting experience using structured and vendor-specific methodologies is preferred.
