Responsibilities
- Design and develop technical solutions and software components for business and technical requirements.
- Analyze, review, and optimize Java and Spring Boot applications for code quality, scalability, maintainability, and performance.
- Reduce technical debt through coding best practices and quality improvements.
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Devin for code analysis, refactoring, documentation, and delivery.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify performance bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
- Support backend and frontend development activities and contribute to CI/CD processes.
- Document technical solutions using JIRA, Confluence, and ALM.
- Collaborate with production support teams to resolve technical issues.
- Ensure applications meet cybersecurity, quality, and development standards.
Requirements
- At least three years of professional experience as a Software Developer or Code Analyst.
- Strong experience with Java, JDBC, J2EE, Spring Boot, JavaScript, Maven, Node.js, JADE/Pug, HTML, Oracle Database, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Devin.
- Experience improving code quality, reducing technical debt, and increasing development efficiency.
- Knowledge of application security and code quality tools including SonarQube and Fortify.
- Experience in Agile software development environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Spanish proficiency at C1 level is required; English proficiency at B1 level is required, with B2 preferred.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, distributed systems, Treasury or Financial Services products, and emerging AI technologies is desirable.
- Ability to translate business analyst requirements into technical solutions and work effectively across multicultural and cross-functional teams.
