Base Salary
$224k - $259k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end execution of large-scale strategic initiatives that improve business outcomes.
- Align leaders and teams on priorities, tradeoffs, and expected impact.
- Influence organizational structure, team topology, and resource allocation across critical initiatives.
- Set priorities across multiple teams and domains while balancing delivery, scalability, and resilience.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product, Data Science, and business stakeholders.
- Establish technical standards, architecture, and best practices across the organization.
- Communicate complex technical and strategic concepts to executives and other stakeholders.
- Coach and influence engineering leaders and senior individual contributors.
- Coordinate with Staff Engineers to establish and evangelize engineering standards and best practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- Proven leadership of projects involving multiple teams across functional domains.
- Excellent communication skills with engineering colleagues and senior business leaders.
- Candidates must be on camera for virtual interviews as part of Root’s interview process.
