Base Salary
$44k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement generative AI applications using large language models such as GPT-4, Claude, and Llama.
- Build, train, and fine-tune neural networks and transformer-based models for natural language processing and machine perception.
- Optimize AI models for performance, scalability, reliability, and deployment.
- Participate in Cisco’s learning sessions, networking opportunities, and collaboration with product and technology leaders.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an associate’s or bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Expected to remain enrolled in the degree program after completing the internship.
- Previous academic, project, or professional experience with model building, AI/LLM development, and programming in Python, SQL, or Go, including common AI libraries.
- Experience training or fine-tuning a neural network model with attention to performance or scalability.
- Preferred experience with cloud-native solutions, Docker container orchestration, modern rapid deployment platforms, data pipeline design and maintenance, AI security or validation, Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-learn, and NLP concepts.
