Specter is hiring an Applied AI Software Engineer to turn perception models into reliable production systems across edge devices and cloud infrastructure. The role connects research, evaluation, deployment, and customer-facing product improvements.

Lead the architecture and implementation of resilient fleet management, deployment, recovery, and control-plane systems for long-range wireless physical devices. This hands-on role spans embedded software, distributed systems, release automation, and real-time operational visibility.

Own the reliability, scalability, and operational health of Specter’s AWS and Kubernetes platform supporting a connected sensor fleet. This hands-on role combines site reliability engineering, infrastructure automation, observability, incident response, and platform improvement.

Own reliability across a live fleet of customer-deployed edge sensors and the AWS infrastructure behind them. You’ll combine hands-on incident recovery with fleet tooling, automation, observability, and embedded systems troubleshooting.

Build the fixtures, software, and qualification infrastructure that verify Specter’s physical AI hardware from design through production. You’ll combine Python automation with low-level Rust or C development and debug failures across mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software systems.

Build and own the embedded software stack powering Specter’s distributed wireless mesh sensor nodes. You’ll integrate sensors and communications hardware, develop firmware and drivers, debug hardware-software systems, and enable reliable production deployments.

Build full-stack applications that turn Specter’s real-time video and sensor data into intuitive dashboards, APIs, and control interfaces. You’ll own features end to end while helping advance physical AI and distributed sensing systems.
