Responsibilities
- Design and build test fixtures and write software for orchestration and hardware communication.
- Conduct qualification and reliability testing to ensure designs can withstand environmental stress.
- Engage early in the design process to drive testability requirements and define testing criteria.
- Perform cross-domain debugging to identify root causes of failures across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
- Analyze failures in the field and integrate lessons learned into future testing.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python for building test frameworks and automation systems.
- Experience with Rust and/or C for low-level hardware interfacing.
- Broad electronics knowledge to read schematics and debug failures.
- Mechanical intuition for designing test fixtures and understanding physical unit placement.
- Project management skills to manage deliverables and communicate status effectively.
- Experience working in or closely with a production environment.
