Responsibilities
- Own and evolve AWS infrastructure including EKS clusters, VPC design, IAM, RDS, and supporting services.
- Lead infrastructure projects from design through delivery, including scoping milestones and distributing work across the team.
- Partner with Product teams to deliver reliable, scalable customer launches.
- Improve deployment automation and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, with emphasis on reliability, speed, AI enablement, and developer self-service.
- Identify and address technical debt before it creates reliability or security risks.
- Set and own SLOs, reduce operational toil through automation, and participate in on-call rotation.
- Contribute to SOC 2 compliance, security controls, and IAM governance.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and design discussions.
- Lead incident response end to end, including postmortems.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles.
- 3+ years of experience at a B2B SaaS company.
- Strong AWS experience across EKS/Kubernetes, VPC, IAM, RDS, and cost management.
- Deep infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform and Helm.
- Strong CI/CD experience, ideally with GitHub Actions.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, and shell scripting.
- Experience scoping and delivering complex infrastructure projects across a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including design documentation and architecture discussions.
- Production experience with security and compliance, including SOC 2 and IAM governance.
- Experience using AI tools such as Copilot, Cursor, and Claude in daily engineering workflows.
- Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, and OpenTelemetry.
- Familiarity with the NetBox ecosystem or network automation is preferred.
- Open-source contributions are preferred.
