Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and support scalable cloud-native solutions across Google Cloud Platform.
- Own operations for critical cloud services and participate in on-call support rotations.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines with Tekton Pipeline as Code.
- Develop automation tools and APIs using Python.
- Deploy and manage applications on OpenShift and implement GitOps with ArgoCD.
- Administer GCP services including Google Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud Tasks, Batch, Cloud Scheduler, Pub/Sub, Google Cloud Storage, and Security Token Service.
- Implement IAM roles, policies, and security controls.
- Deliver high availability, disaster recovery, and operational resilience using SRE principles.
- Monitor platform health and performance with observability tools such as Dynatrace.
- Lead cloud patching, vulnerability remediation, and security compliance initiatives.
- Drive cloud cost optimization, developer self-service improvements, cloud architecture decisions, and technology roadmaps.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or infrastructure automation.
- 3+ years of experience in a senior technical or leadership role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and its listed services, including GCE, Cloud Run, Cloud Tasks, Pub/Sub, Cloud Scheduler, Batch, GCS, and IAM.
- Hands-on expertise with Terraform and infrastructure as code practices.
- Strong scripting and software development experience using Python.
- Experience deploying and managing applications on OpenShift and implementing GitOps with ArgoCD.
- Understanding of DevSecOps, cloud security, compliance, high availability, and disaster recovery practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Preferred: experience with Red Hat Developer Hub, React-based portal development and customization, Golang, cloud modernization initiatives, and enterprise-scale cloud platforms and automation ecosystems.
