Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications, services, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Contribute to software architecture, technical design, requirements reviews, solution discussions, sprint planning, and technical refinement.
- Develop reusable, maintainable code and automated tests while performing code reviews and applying secure coding practices.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, engineering automation, application deployment, and operational readiness.
- Analyze logs, troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and improve application performance, scalability, resiliency, and reliability.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Platform, and Quality teams and mentor junior engineers.
- Contribute to engineering standards, continuous improvement, automation, and AI-assisted engineering initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience developing enterprise applications and services.
- Strong Java programming and object-oriented design skills.
- Experience with Spring, JUnit, Eclipse IDE, Rest Assured, JBehave or Cucumber, Oracle, REST and SOAP APIs, Jenkins or Bamboo, Sonar, Checkmarx or Fortify, Maven, Git, and SQL.
- Experience with XP, TDD, BDD, software design patterns, architecture principles, distributed systems, RESTful APIs, microservices, and data management.
- Understanding of CI/CD, Agile software development, secure coding, software security, data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, problem-solving, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Preferred: experience with Mastercard MDES, tokenization, digital payments, cloud-native and containerized applications, highly available distributed systems, observability, monitoring, production services, testing best practices, and AI-powered engineering tools.
