Base Salary

$92k - $147k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, maintain, and support scalable software applications, services, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Design and execute automated end-to-end quality engineering solutions for tokenization, digital payments, and emerging payment technologies.
  • Contribute to software architecture, technical design, requirements reviews, solution discussions, sprint planning, and technical refinement.
  • Develop reusable, maintainable code and automated tests while performing code reviews and applying secure coding practices.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, engineering automation, and quality capabilities to accelerate software delivery.
  • Analyze logs, troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and optimize application performance, scalability, resiliency, and operational readiness.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Platform, Quality, and architecture teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Contribute to technical standards and continuous improvement, mentor junior engineers, and use AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity and software quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of software engineering experience developing enterprise applications and services.
  • Strong Java programming and object-oriented design skills.
  • Experience with Spring, JUnit, Eclipse IDE, Rest Assured, JBehave or Cucumber, Oracle, REST and SOAP APIs, Jenkins or Bamboo, and Sonar, Checkmarx, or Fortify.
  • Experience with software design patterns, architecture principles, distributed systems, RESTful APIs, microservices, Maven, Git, SQL, and data management.
  • Understanding of data structures, algorithms, performance optimization, CI/CD, Agile development, secure coding, and software security fundamentals.
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, problem-solving, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Preferred experience includes Mastercard MDES, tokenization, digital payments, cloud-native and containerized applications, highly available distributed systems, performance engineering, observability, monitoring, enterprise production services, automated testing, CI/CD quality integration, and AI-powered developer productivity tools.
