Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated tests across the software delivery lifecycle.
- Contribute to automation framework design and enhancement.
- Maintain traceability from user stories through test cases to automated scripts.
- Identify dependencies and communicate environmental and test-data requirements.
- Create applications and unit test cases that validate functional requirements.
- Develop backend API tests using Rest Assured and Karate.
- Perform database testing using JDBC, JPA, Oracle, DB2, and Snowflake.
- Integrate automated testing and continuous testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams on development, testing, troubleshooting, and software quality improvement.
- Monitor and mitigate technology and operational risks in daily responsibilities.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, JUnit, and TestNG.
- Experience with CI/CD technologies and tools including CloudBees, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Cucumber, Git, JUnit, and Jira.
- Extensive experience testing components based on modern scripting languages.
- Strong experience with automated testing and test-driven development.
- Understanding of smoke, functional, non-black-box, regression, unit, integration, and functional testing.
- Expertise in backend test automation for API testing with Rest Assured or Karate.
- Experience with JDBC or JPA for database testing and sophisticated SQL queries.
- Experience in software development and proficiency in Java and Python.
- Knowledge of databases and SQL.
- Experience working with Agile or Waterfall processes and onsite/offshore coordination.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
